Introduction
The client is seeking a skilled and proactive Tetra Technician to join their juice production plant in Wellington. Working predominantly on Tetra machinery and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standard and operates at peak efficiency in a fast-paced, continuous production environment. The role requires strong technical competency, a sound understanding of raw materials, and a commitment to delivering products that meet stringent quality standards. This is a shift-based position within a leading listed FMCG company, operating across 14 factories nationally and producing both Long-Life and Fresh food products.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Refurbishing machinery and replacing parts to optimize output.
- Performing preventive measures for safeguarding the machinery against any kind of degradation on a regular basis.
- Inspection, operation and recording of maintenance work and their costs.
- Maintaining overall cleanliness and proper functioning of the area or tools or the machinery
- Checking and inspecting all production machinery
- Regular servicing and maintenance of all machinery and equipment and ensuring the proper functioning of the same
- Coordinating work with the production department and ensuring that all equipment and machinery function to full capacity and obtaining feedback from Production regarding functionality of machines.
- Ensuring the proper usage of maintenance tools and equipment for repairs.
- Complying with all safety measures outlined by the company for all work processes.
- Maintaining a record of all the maintenance work that has been conducted on the machinery
- Planning maintenance and service procedures in the facility on the Maintenance system
- Inspect all machinery and equipment of a manufacturing unit.
- Assembling machinery of a unit and ensuring the proper functioning of the same.
- Detecting defects and malfunctions in the functioning of machines and repairing the same.
- Place orders for spare and replacement parts and filing order forms and documentations for the same.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Responsible for Health & Safety in your area – conduct regular safety inspections
- Ensure that GMP’s are adhered to.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12, Millwright Trade certificate with minimum N3
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience, as Tetra Technician in an FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of Tetra equipment, policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines
- Ability to coordinate work with other internal departments.
- Should have the ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical related breakdowns/malfunctions and repair same.
- Must reside in a 50 km radius from Wellington
