As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager / Ops Manager to oversee our operations and ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance in our production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all operations
Develop operational strategies to unlock efficiencies and to reduce reliance on weekend, Public holiday and nightshift.
Manage and lead production teams, ensuring productivity and performance.
Implement and maintain food safety, health, and hygiene standards.
Monitor and improve processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Work closely with supply chain, technical, and logistics teams.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Budget development and management
Developing CAPEX and operational budget incl.
Develop succession planning for all operational staff
Develop and manage preventative maintenance plan.
Education and Experience:
Tertiary qualification – Business Management, Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management or relevant tertiary qualification.
Analytical, detailed.
At least 5 years’ experience in a FMCG environment in a management role.
Managing a production staff of at least 250 people
Computer literate with exposure to ERP systems
Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the fresh food industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Experience with production planning and process optimization
