OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SISTER / PRACTITIONER/ NURSE
Overview:
Reporting to the Risk Manager, the role is to implement and manage the risk based medical surveillance and occupational health care programs. Responsible for managing the occupational Health and Wellness Clinic on site.
Minimum Requirements:
- General Nursing Degree or Diploma
- Experience in Occupational Health Nursing
- Primary Health Care will be an advantage
- Current registration with SASOHN as an Audiometrist
- Basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act with regulations
- Registration with SANC is a pre-requisite.
- Computer literacy is a requirement.
- Ability to fluently communicate in Afrikaans and English
- Willingness to relocate to the area
Duties Include
- Management of Occupational Health Clinic
- Management of screening equipment & process
- Occupational Health Risk Assessment of all staff
- Clinic Legal compliance
- Clinic administration
- Generate Monthly reports
- Documenting injuries and illnesses in the workplace, and completion of WCL2 as required,
- Monitor Training of 1st aiders and what they deal with monthly, to get a better idea of risks,
- Provide simple counselling and Health education where necessary and refer where necessary.
- Preventing healthcare problems at work through risk assessment, report to Risk department,
- Manage chronic employee conditions as necessary,
