Duties
Operational
Take responsibility for the execution of the preventive maintenance program and schedules/inspections resulting from it
The maintenance and repair of equipment in the process environment as well as in the workshop
Troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical equipment and repair of identified problems
Management of contractors handling specific projects on site
Ensure that correct parts are kept in stock
Work in a team on a (at times) shift basis with the production department in order to achieve the Company’s goals in terms of operational excellence and continuous improvement
Ensure good knowledge regarding the operation of equipment so that problems with the operation of equipment can be identified
Act as a leader for relevant personnel and handle aspects such as performance management of subordinates, coaching/ training of personnel, discipline and optimal utilization of personnel
Quality & Safety
Maintenance of equipment and management of human resources according to quality principles as incorporated in the FSSC system
Report all problems related to food safety and/or quality to your manager
Ensure that housekeeping/cleanliness and hygiene are up to standard
Compliance with legal safety requirements as well as Company standards that are set
Projects
The participation/involvement in projects as agreed
Requirements
Trade Tested Red Seal Millwright
3-5 years electrical and mechanical maintenance experience with exposure to the FMCG / food manufacturing industry
Excellent PLC faultfinding skills
MUST be willing to relocate to Ceres or Prince Alfred Hamlet or Wolseley
