Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance – of all facilities, equipment and vehicles.
Capital projects – compiling capital plans and managing of all projects.
Managing of engineering workshop , vehicle workshop and engineering office – ensure efficient purchasing of engineering equipment and the control of stock levels.
Services – ensure the supply of essential services to the production department, such as water supply, refrigeration and cooling, effluent system, etc.
Quality, safety and housekeeping – adhering to FSSC standards, managing of safety system’ report problems which will influence food safety and qualty.
Budget, cost management and projections – compiling budget, monthly preparation of accurate projections, compiling reports for board of directors.
Boilers – management of boiler plant
Continuous Improvement – identify opportunities for improvement and implementation of processes, training must be provided; improvement of production output.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Formal Engineering qualification – mechanical engineering
Post grad qualification advantageous
GCC – government ticket – compulsory
ECSA – Professional Engineer
Project Management experience
Previous experience as an engineering / maintenance / services manager in the food manufacturing industry essential.
