About the Organisation

Our client is a private sector initiative that facilitates and co-ordinates land reform projects. The organisation is dedicated to facilitating and reforming agricultural land ownership, growing the economy, creating employment, ensuring food security, and promoting social harmony.

The Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be based at the Ceres branch in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective administrative and financial management of the business
  • Negotiations with government departments regarding agricultural land reform projects
  • Management and coordination of local and national projects, with regular progress reports to stakeholders
  • Liaison with government authorities, farmers, and commercial banks
  • Initiating and managing fundraising projects
  • New enterprise development through partnerships and co-operation models
  • Facilitation of supporting services such as business planning, legal agreements, stakeholder engagement, and finance acquisition through regional centres

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Commercial degree; Agricultural Economics; BSc Agriculture, LLB degree or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous

Exposure

  • Proven experience within the agricultural sector
