Handling of Disciplinary Actions, Training and Special Projects
- Handling of Disciplinary Actions
– Investigation and settlement of cases as reported on disciplinary register.
– Matters handled in terms of company disciplinary code.
– Complete cases soon to ensure that cases do not accumulate.
– Daily feedback on issues completed and matters to be completed.
– Submitting cases at internal disciplinary hearing as required.
– Represents company at Bargaining Council (e.g. Consulation) if needed.
– Compile charge sheets
– Act as Initiator in disciplinary matters referred to outside chair.
- Training
– Preparation and adaptation of training materials as required.
– Training of drivers for school as well as current drivers who need refresher or
new training.
– Assist with driver evaluation and upgrade where applicable.
- Special Projects
– Provide insight into projects as required.
– Inspection of areas as required and provide insight on improving procedures.
Requirements
A National Diploma or N6 in a Human Resources Management; a qualification in Labour Law will also be considered
2-3 years experience as a disciplinary officer
Excellent knowledge of labour law practices and disciplinary procedures
Exposure to the transport industry will be advantageous
Must be assertive and able to communicate effectively with drivers
Must be fluent in Afrikaans
Must have the ability to work every second Saturday from 8 am – 11 am and during the week from 7am to 5 pm.
Willingness to work overtime
