The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager: Engineering Services and the responsibilities of the position include the following key performance areas:
- The maintenance and improvement of the Company’s safety system.
- Establishing / Arranging maintenance safety inspections and schedules as required in applicable Safety
Legislation.
- Administrative role in relation to safety files, external and internal audits, deviations, updates to the latest
legislation, as well as any changes to the system.
- Administrative role by maintaining changes in local government policies and safety regulations.
- Training with regard to safety as per HCS and NIHL regulations.
- Administration of maintenance schedules and the job card system.
- Reporting from the maintenance system.
- Administration with regard to the Company’s asset analyzes (summary, record keeping and updating).
- Training on usage of the system.
- General Administration such as record keeping of water consumption; updating of access cards and
management of its system; budget and switchboard functions.
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes/ skills/ qualifications:
· An appropriate tertiary qualification in Safety, Health and Environmental Management (NOSA, SAMTRAC or any other training in HSE).· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.· Proven experience of processing information in Safety and Maintenance Systems.· Excellent computer skills, Excel is essential.· MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO CERES AREA· INDICATE CURRENT AND EXPECTED SALARY PACKAGE ON CV· MUST BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AFRIKAANS
