Responsibilities:
1.Legislative Compliance
• • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment and Labour Relations Act.
• Ensure that the organization’s policies and practices comply with all relevant legislative requirements and are adhere to by staff.
2. Benefits and Remuneration
• • Executive Incentives: Drive and manage the implementation and administration of executive incentive
• programs.
• • Share Participation Trust: Oversee the management of the share participation trust.
• • Remco Matters: Handle and resolve issues related to the Remuneration Committee (Remco).
• • Job Grading: Supervise and oversee the job grading process to ensure accuracy and fairness.
• • Annual Increment and Bonus Process: Manage the annual increment and bonus distribution
process, including negotiation and allocation of group and divisional bonus pools.
3. Strategic Objectives
• • HR Department Structure: Design and implement the optimal structure, processes and systems for the HR department.
• • HR Development Plan and Procedures: Design, develop and implement the HR plan and associated procedures across the group.
• • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong business partnerships, engaging effectively with stakeholders in alignment with the business strategy, values, and culture.
4. Organisational Development
• • Organisational Capacity and Culture: Drive HR initiatives that support and enhance the organizational strategies, structures and processes.
• • Change Management and Transformation: Lead and manage organizational change initiatives and transformation efforts.
5. Talent Management
• • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Develop and implement strategies to acquire and retain top talent within the organization.
• • Training and Development: Ensure that training and development needs are met across the group.
6. Team Leadership
• • Achieving KPIs: Lead the team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) successfully.
• • Change Agent: Act as a change agent, leading change initiatives within the team.
Qualifications:
– BCom Degree in Human Resources, Organisation Psychology or related field
– Master’s degree with focus on Human Resources (advantageous)
– ITC and Credit Clear
Experience:
– Proven HR Leadership Experience: At least 10-15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role, such as Director of HR, VP of HR, or similar.
– Strategic Planning and Execution: Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with organisational goals.
– Change Management: Demonstrated experience in leading organisational change and transformation efforts.
– Talent Management: Experience in managing and developing talent management strategies, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee development.
– Benefits and Compensation: Proven experience in designing and managing compensation and benefits programs.
– Legislative Compliance: Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations and experience ensuring compliance.
