The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager: Operations and the responsibilities of the position include the following key performance areas:
• Recruitment of, and negotiations with suppliers
• Purchase of all production and other necessities
• Drums – Buying, stock control
• Reconciliation of Pallets
• Budget and stock control
• Administration of the buying function
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes/skills/qualifications:
• An appropriate tertiary qualification as Buyer – Supply Chain Management (would serve as recommendation)
• Extensive experience of purchasing in the manufacturing/technical environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of purchasing planning
• Negotiation and administration skills
• Computer skills (Advanced)
• Valid driver license
• Management of small procurement team
• Must be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Ceres
