Food Scientist / Industrial Engineering/ Production Management

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years’ experience in the food industry will be an advantage

3 years in a leadership role

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing

Production

Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labour resources to achieve manufacturing target
Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule
Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production
Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
Ensure all production/packaging lines operate in same process across various shifts

Review all shifts: Production vs target as per production target schedule

Monitor manufacturing team & environment to ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards as set out by OHS team





Legal Compliant

Quality Assurance

Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistently met.
Liaise with Process Technologist to ensure consistent process in production
Liaise with Process Technologist for continuous production output improvements

Efficiency

Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimise work efficiency
Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in event of a problem
Monitor & implement process improvements to improve labour efficiencies

Talent Pipeline

Coaching and mentoring Operations Team



Collaborate with HR to set PDP’s & KPI’s for all Operational colleagues
Manage objective setting and tracking of Operational team on INTUO platform

Costs Management

Responsible for monitoring Labour cost
Continuous improvement to reduce direct and overhead cost
To develop a labour costing model per product range for labour cost improvement projects
